Republicans just passed H.R. 1: The Lower Energy Costs Act!
Across the nation, utility bills have reached some of the highest rates America has ever seen. We’ve seen stories of Michiganders unable to heat their homes, fuel their cars, or keep the lights on. Fortunately, help is coming – Republicans are bringing affordable energy back!
Russ, as a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I have a front-row seat to all the spending that goes on in Washington. I’ve seen President Biden try to force through his Green New Deal and Build Back Better bills, which have caused energy prices to skyrocket!
However, while Biden thinks more spending is the answer – Republicans have been working on passing legislation like H.R. 1 to bring prices down ASAP!
Here are a few of the things H.R. 1 will accomplish:
- Allow off-shore drilling to continue.
- Defend gas stoves from President Biden’s ridiculous proposed ban.
- Repeal taxes and restrictions on US domestic oil and gas production.
- Resume drilling on oil-rich federal lands.
And so much more!
Russ, supporting H.R. 1, will prioritize our energy sector and bring affordable energy prices back to everyone. We’ve paid for President Biden’s spending for far too long, which is why I’m proud to have played such an essential role in passing H.R. 1.
