Background: After seeing the disconnect between the youth and campaigns throughout the past election cycle, I was motivated to do more. One of my trademark campaign promises, was to implement District Captains. After reaching out to individuals throughout the state, there is a lot of interest in the program. Therefore, I am opening the program and accepting applications. Please apply, there will be a place for you.
Description: District Captains will be an extension of the Youth Chair within their home district and be expected to be accessible to delegates. This is a great opportunity for young conservatives to get involved and gain experience by networking within their district and valuable campaign experience.
Qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional interpersonal communications skills.
- Knowledge of their home district and strong ties within their county party.
- Have experience working or volunteering on a campaign.
- High organization and leadership skills.
Responsibilities may include:
- Community Organizing.
- Travel.
- Political Campaign Activities.
- Attending County Party Meetings
- Recruiting Young Republicans within the District.
- Building Personal Relationships with County Chairs within the district.
